Question by Liz: Free Reverse Cell Phone?
I am having a problem with someone calling my cell phone. I tried to look the number up and it seems it is a cell phone number, but I cannot get the name. I’m not trying to be a stalker or anything, I just want to know who is calling my phone. I have searched all over the internet for a tool to tell me the persons name for free, but I cannot find one. Anyone got any suggestions?
Okay, so how do I block the number?

If that person’s name is not in your contact book, there is no way to know who is the caller. Their name must be in your contact book for your phone to show up, otherwise it will just sohw the phone number.

    Hey

You won’t be able to get a reverse cell phone service for free – you’ll have to use a service such as http://www.reversecellphonelistings.com to search a qualified database of millions of records to reveal the location and then you’ve got to pay a small fee to reveal te owner details.

    Hope this helps?

There is one way you can do your own free reverse cell phone number lookup.

You can try searching on one of the larger internet search engines (Google is the best) for the cell number. Obviously there are no guarantees this will work, but you’d be surprized how often people give their number out for online classified ads or business listings. If they have ever done this, the cell phone number would come up in the search.

Just remember to type the cell phone number in with double quotes around it – ie. “454-333-1234″ instead of 454-333-1234. By putting the quotes around it, Google will treat the number as one word/phrase instead of 3 different words, giving you much more accurate results.

If this doesn’t work & you really want to find out who it is, you may have to look into one of the paid directories, but this is definitely worth a try first before you fork out any money.

Sorry, can’t help you with a way to block the number, but your phone service provider should be able to help if you contact them.

    Hi,
You could try doing a reverse phone lookup at one of the many free sites available, but most prank callers don’t use public landline numbers – the only ones you can find information on through free services.

Your best option is to go through

    http://www.reversephonesearches.info

You’ll pay just a single fee for unlimited access to hundreds of millions of records, including information on cell phone, unlisted, and landline numbers.

You’ll also get advanced tools like free search assistance, access to expanded people search database records, even family member information! All you need to do is enter the area code and seven digit number, and you’ll get information like the number owner’s name and address – which will help you stop your prank caller once and for all!

    What to Do Next

So, once you have the information, what do you do? For one, you could wait until you receive the next prank call – then call them by name – so they know that YOU know exactly who THEY are.

If they don’t quit, you’ll have the information you need to approach the police or to file a harassment complaint. In most cases, you won’t have to resort to those drastic actions. You can usually stop prank callers once they realize they’re no longer operating in the dark.

    Good luck to you.
