Free Cell Phone Number Search – How to Find Someone’s Cell Phone Number

Technology has both good and bad. One example of ‘good’ for the telecommunications industry is how cheap communication has become. I remember having to spend $5/minute to call my aunt in the UK, and now it’s free. An example for ‘bad’ is ‘unlisted telephone numbers’. In other words, anybody can request your wireless carrier (actually even fixed or land phone carriers as well) to unlist your number. This means that your cellular number will not be published on any of the free telephone directories. This means that nobody can find your cellular number unless you have given it to them. This is very good, because this protects your privacy more than you could imagine. This also means that for those who wish to do so, can turn this into a weapon. These guys, whatever their motive is (e.g. identity theft, telemarketers etc.) will call you with an unlisted telephone number. Your caller ID says “caller unknown” or “unpublished number” and so goes the story. So how do you Find Out Someone’s Cell Phone Number in such an instance?

Can you actually trace a mobile phone call?

Yes you can! Although wireless numbers are unlisted and not available for public access (as mentioned earlier, for your own security), they are stored by the law enforcement authorities for use in emergency situations. Certain third party companies can access these numbers for a small fee and we, the general public can find out someone’s cell phone number through such third party companies.

They use a technology known as the reverse phone lookup technology which uses many complex databases and software algorithms (that I am no expert on, all I know is they work!) to trace cellular phone calls. However please be warned, some so called “services” inflate the serious nature of the process and charge you as much as $99 to find out someone’s cell phone number when the majority of the big names will do a reverse lookup for a fraction of that price.
